Summer is Here!

Well, at least in terms of school. I finished my last final on Tuesday and couldn't be happier. I am just starting to get my grades back and the ones I thought I didn't do well on have been a lot better than I expected. I was so happy to get all A's again, woohoo!

Liz is coming up on 34 weeks pregnant and is starting to feel a little uncomfortable. The little baby is a little wiggly bug who loves to move around, especially at 11 pm and 4 am, I guess he's just getting us prepared for when he comes.

Liz only has a few more weeks of teaching first grade. She has mixed feelings about it because she has such a wonderful class that she adores and has had such a good year. Btu she's also excited because its been getting harder and harder to to get rest because of the baby dancing around all night, which makes teaching full-time rather difficult.

All-in-all we're doing pretty well, loving life, and as happy as any couple could be. We're just so excited to meet our little guy! I'm sure we'll have a bazillion pictures once he comes!

32 Weeks and Counting

It's amazing how fast and slowly the time has gone by as our little guy develops. I (Elizabeth) am about 32 weeks along now and we feel him moving around in there more and more everyday. It has been a bit of a struggle balancing teaching first grade and being pregnant and for Matt with school and work, but it has been a blessing to have these experiences. We are so excited, but nervous to see how life will change when the baby comes.

Our Baby!!!

This will be the new addition to our little Dykman family come June 18, 2008 (or so). It's gonna be a boy! Cute huh?!

Wedding June 23, 2007

What a beautiful day it was! Who could have asked for anything more. We were sealed together for time and eternity, and we couldn't have been any happier!

That day was a start of something beautiful and wonderful, and it has only gotten better since, some could even say that we are BFF! Sorry, had to do that one.

Anyway, we went on our honeymoon afterward starting with Park City, UT and then headed on our way through Boise (stopping and saying hi to family briefly, briefly) and then on our way up to McCall, ID where Elizabeth's dad's coworker has a cabin on Cascade Lake. Boy it was wonderful!

A funny story about that trip, on one of the last days we decided to go white water rafting on the South fork of the Payette River. Before we headed on the river (we almost missed our appointment and we made it from Cascade all the way to the company's base camp in record time) I thought it would be a good idea to take off my ring. Well, long story short, my wedding ring, just after a few short days is now somewhere at the bottom of the South fork of the Payette River. Maybe I should take up scuba diving in rivers.

;)

Welcome!

Welcome to the Dykman family blog! We thought it would be fun to have this blog so that people can get to know us better and see what we are up to. We're still new to this, but it should be an adventure. Tata!
