Blog Neglect...

Ok.. ok... We guess it has been quite a while. So much to catch up on!

We are happy and loving life in Logan. We have had a fun semester making friends and finding things to do here. Matt has been SUPER busy with school! He has had some pretty difficult classes, but has made friends at school who he can study with and this is good because he does better studying in a group situation. He is also taking an art symposium class and this has been really good because he is required to go to several concerts and performances at the school and in town. This has given us more ideas for date night and even some fun things to take Patrick too. This weekend we went to a luau! This was very entertaining and Patrick seemed to enjoy it. Well, at least the first half hour and then his attention span wore out. Another one of our favorite performances we went to was the USU Ballroom dance team. They themed it after the jungle and had outfits and music that went along with the theme as well as African drummers and a Native American? hoop dance.

My handsome, cute husband :)

This February we went to Sun Valley with the Moore side of the family and it was a great experience because most everyone was able to come up. The only thing that would have made it better is if Kathryn and Aaron Jensen could have come up. But Kathryn is having her baby soon! and that would have been difficult for her to come up so close to her due date. Speaking of.... I just spoke with her and she was having contractions ten minutes apart for a couple hours last night! That baby should be coming soon!

The following pictures are from Sun Valley.

We had such a great time spending time with everyone in Sun Valley. We hope to have the chance to go up to Boise to spend more time with family and to see the Dykman side of the family as well. We miss everyone so much! You bring so much happiness and color to our lives. We have been so busy with school that it has been hard to leave. We have been trying to spend time with friends and making new friends to make the time away from family not so hard. Patrick has enjoyed the time with other kids that he can play with as well.

Katrina Smith, Elizabeth's old roommate came up to Logan for a dance event that she was participating in and was able to come see us for the evening and dinner. This was such fun! Katrina is a dear friend and I am so grateful for her.

Great grandma Rosenlund, Patrick Dykman, Jill Larson

My mom came up to Utah to see her mother and spend some time with us as well as Paul and his kids. We were able to spend some good time with grandma Rosenlund and see the model of a house that Paul and Heather are thinking about building. It is beautiful! It was so much fun to see them and their girls. We love you guys!

Cambridge, Elli and Sage Hines and Patrick Dykman

A couple weekends ago, we spent Sunday afternoon with the Hines. Patrick seemed to really enjoy all the attention they gave him as they followed him around and mothered him.

We're a Tad Behind: Thanksgiving! But Hey, the Semester is Now OVER! Welcome Christmas!

So it's been a while since we have written. We have been kinda slackerish in that department, though we think we have good excuses like school and work and all that fun stuff, but then we thought about it and most everyone else is too. So here we are.

I finished up the semester officially as of 11 am when I turned in my engineering final project. Thank goodness! I think I heard choirs of angels as I pressed the submit button. I can now regain a bit of sanity again and not feel so befuddled now that I don't have school to worry about. It's funny though, I told Liz that by the end of the semester, my brain has muscle memory to be worried about things to get done. I feel like I should be getting something done to turn in or something in the back of my mind to finish something to study for, but alas, there is nothing.

So, here's a few pictures of our Thanksgiving break in Boise, we love it there!
